How to Handle Fear in the 7 Stages of the Business Life Cycle-Dr. Laureen Wishom-Women In Business Radio
Women in Business Radio is the communication Hub for Women in Business all across the USA for the forgotten women in business today.
Not everyone will make the front page of Fast Company or Forbes top 100 list. Yet, women owned businesses are still the back bone of our economy here in the USA. Women In Business Radio is here to empower and give women in business a place to grow their reputation as well as awareness of other women they can connect with growing a stronger network.
How to Interview on Women In Business Radio
Join us as we are taking interview requests. We want to talk with women at various stages of being in business. You do not have to have been in business for ages. We are a multi-generational community that honors and respects we have as much to learn from our Millennial sisters as we have from our Traditionalists.
A fabulous piece of advice a friend shared with me last year was “mentor with someone younger, they will keep you on your toes and you will learn as much from them as they learn from you”. Very wise words indeed.
You are invited to join us every Monday at 2pm ET, 1pm CT, 12pm MT 11am PT as we spotlight women in business each week, discussing what has brought them to where they are today for their business VS just what they do IN their business.
You can listen via your computer, call in on your cell phone (347-857-4551) or subscribe and listen via itunes.
That journey we all make as women in business, growing who are as we also grow our businesses. Recognizing that what we bring to our business from an internal perspective is as key as knowing our marketing strategy or having a good business plan.
This weeks guest is Dr. Laureen Wishom, founder of the Global Association of High Acheiving Women will share with us her insights on “How to Handle the Fears’ associated with the 7 Stages of the Business Life Cycle”.
- How to handle the fears associated with career change and career transition into entrepreneurship?
- The 7 tips for keeping your fear under control while taking your career and business up a notch in challenging times.
- The 7 tips for managing stress when fear prevails.
Listening to women all year at conferences, networking events and during one on ones a consistent message came through loud and clear…women want a way to have their own “Good Ole Gal Network” they can rely on to grow their businesses through WOM (word of mouth) relationship building networks.
When was the last time you thought about collaborating with another woman in business for your team?
With women being the fastest growing segment of businesses started now for over ten years let’s look at some of those numbers.
- There were an estimated 10.4 million privately-held firms;
- This accounted for two in five (40.2%) of all businesses in the country; and
- These firms generated $1.9 trillion in annual sales and employed 12.8 million people nationwide.
Another surprising insight is that women are considered to be more HONEST than men in business. In a day and age when consumers are looking to align their purchase power and buying dollars with businesses that deal with them in a more ethical manner, things are looking up for women in business today.
Women In Business Radio is forming around the mission to be the communication hub to that everyday local business women who plays a very important role in our economic vitality in each city across America.

Wow! What a difficult choice to make…as they are all so very fabulous. I love the butterfly logo. However, after giving it more thought…and relating the logo to what you are doing, It was between #3 and #2. My final choice is the third one. I love the logo and having that to brand throughout all you do would be perfect! Thanks for sharing…xoxo
I like #2. The butterfly and woman logos don’t do anything for me. #2 is simple, straightforward, and to the point.
Thanks your opinion is appreciated.
Thanks I love how by asking other women we can find what resonate with community
I like #2; seems to epitomize the “Mindset, Manners, Monetize” with its cursive flair!
I like comp 2. Marisol does a great job!
My favorite is Number 4.
I have a long explanation for the imagery of the butterfly icon. The butterfly represents coming from the cocoon and spreading your wings, the shadow above it is a very subtle “W” to represent “Women” and the dots behind is a representation of “the glass ceiling”. I like number 4 the most because it has a little edge to it and I am so tired of Women being represented as stoic or too girly.
Really, you want a guy’s opinion? #4.
We appreciate your chiming in
Thanks Yes Marisol is awesome
Believe it or not Eric we will be appealing to men in business, details coming
